  • The majority of our work is residential and commercial repaint projects, both interior and exterior.

  • Most of our jobs are located in London, Ontario but we also service the surrounding area. 

  • We generally work 8:30am-5:00pm Monday to Friday, but hours can vary slightly. We occasionally work on Saturdays and Sundays but weekend work is never mandatory.

In this job you will:

  • Support each job during Project Initiation (i.e. job set-up, organizing of materials and equipment), Production (i.e. preparation and application of products), and Project Completion (i.e. quality control and final walk through) phases of each project, while reporting to the Crew Lead.

  • Attend daily and weekly site meetings (i.e. jobsite walkthroughs, morning huddles) with Crew Lead to gain a full understanding of the project scope and to set and discuss daily and weekly goals.

  • Understand paints, stains, primers, and sealers being used, along with colors, client concerns, and anything relevant to the job. 

  • Maintain a jobsite presence that is free of loud music, swearing, and/or inappropriate discussion.

  • Communicate with all customers and subcontractors in a professional and polite manner.

  • Use company software daily, and as required, review work orders and schedules.

  • Observe company policies and represent the professional, caring, and attentive attitude embodied by the Gladiator Painting brand.

  • Adhere to company safety policies and attend any required training courses provided.

  • Foster an environment where company values are held paramount and used as guidelines for making all work decisions.

  • Celebrate individual, team and company successes with the team at team events.

Requirements:

  • Highly skilled painter with the ability to execute projects from start to completion with precision and quality.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working on projects in the painting industry.

  • Proficient in the use of brush, roller, and spray equipment.

  • In-depth knowledge of several types of paint, varnishes, stains, and other finishes, as well as the proper application of each product.

  • Knowledge of OHSA and trade related safety regulations and practices.

  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of the nature of the work (i.e. climbing ladders, working above 25ft, lifting and carrying up to 50lbs, working in hot or humid weather, able to wear a respirator on the job, etc.)

  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, subject to a screening of driver’s abstract.

  • Strong in written/spoken English.
